A long list of plants that Deer dislike and avoid eating. The author tested these plants over a 40 year period of living and working as a landscape designer in California’s Black Tail Deer Country. The information has been cross referenced with other reputable Deer Lists and the advice of other experts. The list is an excerpt from the digital book “Gardening in Black Tail Deer Country” written by Lois Miller and available on this website. There are quite a few beautiful and interesting plants included on the list, that are useful in landscaping and home gardens. Many of the plants are also drought tolerant. A good number can also be used in a wide range of climates and regions.
